Our community is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion (or lack thereof), or any other characteristic that makes us who we are.
We expect everyone to help create a safe, positive, and welcoming environment for everyone by following the code of conduct and guidelines below.
đź‘ĄÂ Expectations for Engagement
- Equity, respect and kindness are a part of our core values.
- This means avoiding any language or behavior that is discriminatory, inflammatory, harassing, or hateful.
- Keep conversations within the community.
- To foster new, innovative, and radical approaches to our work, it's important to keep conversations within the confines of the community. This protects members and encourages open dialogue.
- Self-promotion, spam, donation requests, data-mining, surveys, or other irrelevant links are not allowed.
- We do have channels dedicated to job posting and events that your organization may be hosting. Other requests will not be allowed and posts will be removed.
- Make sure you’re posting on the right channel.
- All channels have a “topic” visible at the top of the Slack window, which explains what is appropriate to share in that channel.
- Avoid cross-posting, pick one channel that is the best fit for your message.
- Job posts should ONLY be posted in job post channel. All job posts MUST include salary range or we may ask you to edit your post or remove the post from the channel.
- If the message is posted in the wrong channel, we may delete it and send you a copy with some guidance, so that you can choose the correct channel to post in.
- Be an active member of the community .
- This means asking questions, engaging in discourse, offering ideas and solutions and using the appropriate channel for messages.
- Share it better than you found it! Give context to resources that you share and feel free to ask other for further context on their posts.
- Have you found or created a useful resource? Share it with the community and request it to be input on the ElevateOps Notion (a resource database we hope to establish as the community grows!)
